Albin Reichmuth

Albin Reichmuth was a courageous activist who played a pivotal role in addressing the issue of sexual abuse within the Swiss Catholic Church. He was one of the first to give a voice to victims, founding a self-help group in 2019 that provided a platform for many to break their silence. His own experience of abuse as a child led him to advocate for change, and he served as the president of the Interest Group for Victims of Abuse in the Church (IG-M!kU) until his illness forced him to step down in 2023. Reichmuth’s legacy is marked by his relentless pursuit of justice and his belief in the need for the Church to confront its past.
