Aldo Acero Zuccolillo

Aldo Acero Zuccolillo was a prominent Paraguayan journalist and the founder of ABC Color, a newspaper known for its commitment to press freedom and its critical stance against the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner. Under his leadership, ABC Color became a leading voice in advocating for democracy and human rights in Paraguay, particularly during the 35 years of Stroessner's authoritarian rule. After the newspaper faced closure in the late 1980s, Zuccolillo strategically chose to fight for its reopening through legal channels, ultimately witnessing the collapse of the dictatorship and the return of the newspaper to publication.
