Aldona Česaitytė-Nenėnienė
Aldona Česaitytė-Nenėnienė (1949-1999) is one of the most decorated Lithuanian athletes, renowned for her exceptional skills in handball. She represented the Soviet Union in international competitions, winning two Olympic gold medals in 1976 and 1980, as well as a silver medal at the World Handball Championship in 1975 and a bronze in 1978. A key player for the Kaunas Žalgiris team, her contributions to the sport have solidified her legacy in Lithuanian sports history.
