Alejandro Oviedo Echevarría is a retired general of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) who was appointed as the new director of the Dirección Nacional de Inteligencia (DINI) by President Dina Boluarte, marking the fifth leadership change in this role since her presidency began in December 2022.
