Aleksandr Shakutin

Aleksandr Shakutin is a Belarusian businessman and former owner of the machinery company Amkodor. Born in 1959 in the Orsha region, he initially trained as a surgeon and worked in various medical roles before transitioning into business. Shakutin became notable for his connections to the regime of Alexander Lukashenko, gaining significant advantages in the privatization and operation of state-owned enterprises. Despite these privileges, his tenure at Amkodor ended in bankruptcy, and he faced substantial debts. Recently, he made headlines after being detained for three days in connection with ongoing tax investigations related to his previous business dealings.
