Aleksej Leonov

Aleksej Leonov was a Soviet cosmonaut and the first person to conduct a spacewalk, known as an extravehicular activity (EVA), during the Voskhod 2 mission in 1965. His historic spacewalk lasted 12 minutes and 9 seconds, allowing him to demonstrate the capabilities of human exploration beyond the confines of a spacecraft.
