Aleksey Isayev was a prominent Belarusian singer and actor, renowned for his powerful lyric baritone voice and dynamic stage presence. He joined the Belarusian Musical Theatre in 1991, where he quickly became a leading soloist, showcasing his talent in various operettas and musical productions. His notable roles included Prince Orlovsky in Johann Strauss's 'Die Fledermaus,' as well as characters in works by Gaetano Donizetti and Imre Kálmán. Recognized for his artistic contributions, Isayev received the Union of Youth of Belarus award in 1995 and was honored with the title of Honored Artist of Belarus in 1997. He also held the position of director of the Musical Theatre from 2001 and served as the artistic director from 2004 to 2009. Isayev passed away on May 6, leaving behind a legacy in the Belarusian cultural landscape.
