Aleš Maver

Aleš Maver is the leader of the Center for Genomic Medicine at UKC Ljubljana, known for his research into genetic causes of vision loss. He has contributed significantly to the understanding of how mitochondrial dysfunction can lead to optic nerve atrophy and subsequent loss of vision.
