Álex Arias García

Álex Arias García is a retired teacher from Loja, Ecuador, who has dedicated his life to supporting the Ecuadorian national football team. Having waited 40 years to see Ecuador qualify for a World Cup, he has attended all four of the country's appearances, including the historic matches in Japan 2002 and Germany 2006. Currently residing in Estonia, Arias cherishes the memories of past tournaments and is gearing up for the 2026 World Cup, which he hopes to experience as a fitting conclusion to his decades of football fandom.
