Alex Kellner

Alex Kellner is the director of the Museu Nacional in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has been instrumental in the museum's recovery efforts following a devastating fire in 2018 that destroyed much of its collection. Under his leadership, the museum has embarked on initiatives to rebuild its exhibits, including the recent acquisition of a 15.7-meter-long cachalot whale skeleton, which allows for extensive research and educational opportunities related to biodiversity. Kellner is also involved in campaigns to encourage donations of original pieces to help restore the museum's former glory.
