
Alex Shibitsky
Alex Shibitsky, also known as Alexander Dimitri Shibitsky, was a pioneering Ukrainian-Canadian hockey player who played in the NHL for the New York Rangers from 1935 to 1946, recognized as the first player to use a slap shot and later becoming vice president of the NHL Players Association.
