Alex Shved

Alex Shved is a 37-year-old father from Etobicoke, Ontario, who is fighting for access to tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy for metastatic melanoma. Despite Health Canada approving the treatment, he has been denied out-of-country coverage by OHIP, leaving him to appeal the decision in hopes of receiving the life-saving therapy that he believes is crucial for his survival and for the sake of his two young daughters.
