Alexander Bushkov

Alexander Bushkov was a prominent Russian author, born on April 5, 1956, in Minusinsk. He gained recognition for his works in the genres of thriller and fantasy, notably for the series 'Piranha' and the novel 'Hunting the Piranha,' which was adapted into a film. Bushkov began his writing career at the editorial office of 'Mолодая гвардия' and published his first story in 1981. His literary contributions often explored historical themes and included his well-known series 'Svarog,' featuring a paratrooper in a parallel universe. Bushkov passed away at the age of 69 after battling pneumonia.
