Alexander Cochrane
Alexander Cochrane was a British naval officer who served as a rear admiral during the War of 1812. He is best known for commanding British forces during the attack on Baltimore, where he interacted with Francis Scott Key and facilitated a prisoner exchange, which allowed Key to witness the events that inspired the U.S. national anthem.
