Alexander Gusak

Alexander Gusak is a former security officer who gained attention for his involvement with the campaign of Viktor Babariko during the 2020 Belarusian presidential elections. A former member of the internal affairs system, he has a complicated history, including a conviction in 2005 for facilitating unlicensed entrepreneurial activities. In the wake of the political unrest in Belarus, he was portrayed in a state media report as the head of security for Babariko's campaign, though representatives from the campaign clarified that he was merely a volunteer helping to maintain order at rallies. As of mid-2021, he was reported to be working at the Belarusian Youth Theatre.
