Alexander Zimin

Alexander Zimin is a street musician from Grodno, known for playing the handpan, an unusual percussion instrument resembling a flying saucer. Since 2016, his performances have become a notable attraction in the city center. Zimin has faced challenges in his personal life, including difficulties obtaining a medical certificate for driver's rights due to his cerebral palsy, although he successfully acquired it in Russia. Recently, he was in the news after being asked to leave the city center along with other craftsmen, a decision linked to local government regulations and increased scrutiny ahead of a visit from President Alexander Lukashenko.
