Alexandra Hildbrandt

Alexandra Hildbrandt, born in 1959 in Kyiv, is a remarkable figure known for her role as the director of the Checkpoint Charlie Museum in Berlin. After moving to Berlin in 1992 and marrying the museum's founder, Rainer Hildbrandt, she has dedicated her life to preserving and sharing the history of the Berlin Wall. Following her husband's passing in 2004, she took the helm of the museum, ensuring its continued success. Notably, she recently made headlines for giving birth to her tenth child at the age of 66, a rare occurrence in obstetrics.
