Alexandru Nikolski

Alexandru Nikolski, also known as Grunberg, was a prominent figure in the Romanian communist regime, orchestrating the infamous Pitești Experiment which involved the systematic torture and re-education of political prisoners, particularly students. His role as a general in the Securitate highlighted the brutal measures employed by the regime to suppress dissent and ideologically transform individuals deemed 'enemies of the state.'
