Alexis Kougias
Alexis Kougias was a prominent Greek lawyer and criminal defense attorney, known for his extensive career that spanned over 50 years and involved participation in more than 25,000 trials. Born in 1951 in Petroupoli, he studied law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Athens. In addition to his legal work, Kougias was active in sports administration, having served as president of several football clubs, including A.E.K. and P.A.S. Korinthos. He faced a prolonged battle with cancer and passed away at the age of 74 while receiving treatment in Athens.
