Alfio Biagini

Alfio Biagini is the president of the Consorzio di Promozione e Tutela della Piadina Romagnola Igp, an organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the traditional Italian flatbread known as Piadina Romagnola. Under his leadership, the consorzio has achieved significant milestones, including the recent recognition of Piadina Romagnola as the first foreign product to receive Protected Geographical Indication (Igp) status in Brazil. Biagini has emphasized the cultural significance of the Piadina, linking it to Italian heritage and literature, and has actively worked to enhance its export potential while safeguarding it from counterfeit products.
