After suffering abuse in the 1950s at a Jesuit school, he received a modest initial compensation of 7,500 euros in 2021, which he found humiliating. Following a prolonged struggle for justice, he successfully negotiated an additional payment that brought the total compensation to 62,500 euros, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by victims in seeking acknowledgment and reparations from the Church.
