Alfonso Sacre

Alfonso Sacre, originally from the Middle East, arrived in Venezuela in 1888 as a merchant and became a central figure of satire during the early 20th century. He was ironically celebrated as a 'general' by students of the Universidad Central de Venezuela during the event known as 'La Sacrada,' which mocked the absurdity of the military and political elite of the time.
