Alfred Anderson

Alfred Anderson was a Scottish sergeant who became known as the last survivor of the World War I Christmas Truce, which took place in December 1914. Born in 1896, he lived to the age of 109, passing away in 2005. Anderson's recollections of the truce, where soldiers from opposing sides laid down their arms to celebrate Christmas together, provide a poignant reminder of humanity amidst the horrors of war.
