Alfredo Okenve is an Equatoguinean human rights activist currently exiled in Spain, known for his opposition to the authoritarian regime in Equatorial Guinea. He was recently in the news for being nominated for the Franco-German Human Rights Prize, an act that the Equatoguinean government, led by Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, has condemned, labeling him a 'traitor' and accusing France of attempting to destabilize the country by supporting him.
