Alhaj Bawah Jalil

Alhaj Bawah Jalil is an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and the leader of the Special Anti-Galamsey Task Force in Ghana. He has been actively involved in efforts to combat illegal mining activities, known as galamsey, particularly in the Ashanti Region. Recently, he led a stakeholders engagement aimed at educating miners about the legal frameworks of mining operations and the environmental implications of illegal mining. His commitment to guiding miners to operate within the law while respecting their rights has been a key focus of his role in the task force.
