
Alhaji Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed
Alhaji Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed, born on May 7, 1969, in Akwatia, Eastern Region, is a Ghanaian lawyer and senior member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He previously served as the Member of Parliament for Akwatia from 2013 to 2017 and held a deputy ministerial role during President John Dramani Mahama's first term. After a brief tenure as Ghana's High Commissioner to Nigeria, he returned to the political scene by winning the Ayawaso East parliamentary by-election in March 2026, securing 63% of the votes and extending the NDC's influence in the constituency. Jamal is dedicated to community development and aims to rebrand Nima, the area he represents.
