Alhaji Seidu Abagre
Alhaji Seidu Abagre is a 79-year-old retired teacher and a key figure in the longstanding Bawku chieftaincy dispute in Ghana. He was removed from his position in December 2025 by the Ghana Armed Forces as part of mediation efforts to resolve ongoing tensions between rival factions. Following his removal, he was taken into custody by the National Intelligence Bureau, leading to a habeas corpus application filed on his behalf, which was recently dropped as he is now facing criminal charges related to the same issue.
