Ali Kushayb
Ali Kushayb is a former leader of the Janjaweed militia in Sudan, known for his involvement in the Darfur conflict and alleged war crimes, including genocide, against the civilian population. He was indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in 2007 and has been in custody since 2020, currently facing trial for his role in the atrocities committed during the Darfur genocide, which led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands and the displacement of millions.
