Alicia Pomata has been appointed as the new Minister of Women in her country, following the resignation of Cynthia Figueredo. With a strong background in public health, Pomata served in the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare, where she notably became the first woman to lead the National Cancer Control Program in 2018. Prior to her recent appointment, she was the General Coordinator of the First Lady's Office, actively supporting social projects initiated by the government.
