Aline Mvugebanige

Aline Mvugebanige is a breast cancer survivor and mother of three from Gitega, Burundi. Diagnosed with the disease in 2017, she faced significant challenges accessing treatment due to the limited healthcare facilities in Burundi. After undergoing surgery in Uganda, she completed her chemotherapy treatment while managing the difficulties of being away from her young child. Although currently in complete remission, Aline continues to advocate for better access to cancer medications and treatment facilities in her country, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and support for women facing similar health issues.
