Alise Bogdanova, born in 2002, is a rising Latvian poet and writer who began her literary career in 2019, participating in various competitions and receiving accolades in both poetry and prose. She graduated from the Literary Academy under the tutelage of Tom Treiberg in 2023 and has been published in notable Latvian publications such as Latvijas Avīze, Punctummagazine, and Satori. Alise has a background in Finno-Ugric studies and is nearing a bachelor's degree in biology with a specialization in limnology. She is also a coordinator and artist for the poetry event series 'Dzejas pusnakts' and has created performances for various literary events. Her recently released poetry collection, 'ne tev, zivs,' explores the intersection of romantic sensitivity and scientific pragmatism, showcasing her unique voice and emotional depth in contemporary Latvian literature.
