Alivardi Khan

Alivardi Khan was the Nawab of Bengal from 1733 to 1756, noted for his administrative reforms and military strategies during the tumultuous period marked by the Borgi invasions. His leadership was pivotal in restructuring Bengal's defenses against the Maratha raiders, ultimately pushing them back, but not without leaving a legacy of trauma and economic hardship for the Bengali people.
