Allen Chesser

Allen Chesser is a Republican state representative from North Carolina and a former police officer and Army veteran. He has recently gained attention for questioning Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden during a House Oversight Committee hearing, where he was surprised by the sheriff's inability to answer basic civics questions regarding the branches of government, which led to a discussion about law enforcement and cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
