Alma Björk Blöndal Hafsteinsdóttir is a trained gambling addiction counselor and the chairperson of the Gambling Addiction Association in Iceland. With nearly a decade of experience in the field, she has contributed significantly to research on gambling addiction among prisoners and is a co-author of a groundbreaking thesis from the University of Akureyri, addressing the pressing issue of gambling addiction in Icelandic prisons.
