Almami Fanding Taal

Almami Fanding Taal is the Chairman and Executive Director of the Kaira Conservation and Leadership Organisation (KairaCLO), an organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, the first President of The Gambia. Taal has been vocal about the importance of recognizing Jawara's contributions to democracy in West Africa and the role he played in averting potential genocide during the civil wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Under his leadership, KairaCLO aims to promote initiatives focused on climate change and biodiversity conservation while inspiring the younger generation to engage with national heritage.
