Almar Ögmundsson

Almar Ögmundsson recently made history by being elected as one of the three vice-presidents of the European Boxing Confederation, marking the first time an Icelander has held such a high office within European boxing organizations. He has been a prominent figure in the development of boxing in Iceland and Europe, having previously served as the president of the Icelandic Boxing Federation from 2020 to 2022. In his new role, Almar will have direct access to policymaking and decision-making for the future of boxing in Europe.
