Almas Abdygapparov
Almas Abdygapparov is a Kazakh businessman who was sentenced to seven years in prison for embezzlement related to the construction of the Esentai City residential complex. He was found guilty of misappropriating a significant amount of money while serving as the commercial director of AV-Construction. In December 2025, his sentence was reduced when he was transferred from a medium-security prison to a minimum-security facility, following a successful petition for transfer.
