
Almas Janbyrshy
Almas Janbyrshy, born in 1979 in Almaty, is a distinguished urban planner and architect. He graduated from the Kazakh National University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and the Eurasian National University. Janbyrshy began his career in 2003 as an architect and has held various positions within the Almaty city architecture and urban planning departments from 2005 to 2018. He has also served as the head of the Scientific Research Institute 'Almatygenplan' and held leadership roles in the urban planning departments of both Astana and Almaty. Recently, he was appointed as the head of the Department of Urban Planning and Urbanism in Almaty by the city’s mayor, Darkhan Satybaldy.
