Alphonse de Poitiers

Alphonse de Poitiers (1220-1271) was a French nobleman and the younger brother of King Louis IX. He played a significant role in the political and military affairs of the Capetian dynasty and governed extensive territories in the south of France, contributing to the expansion of royal authority during his brother's reign.
