Álvaro Leiva Sánchez

Álvaro Leiva Sánchez is a prominent Nicaraguan human rights lawyer and the president of the Nicaraguan Association for the Defense of Human Rights (ANPDH). He has been an outspoken critic of the Ortega-Murillo regime and has worked tirelessly to advocate for the rights of Nicaraguan exiles and victims of political persecution. Recently, he has drawn attention for his efforts to raise awareness about the increasing threats faced by Nicaraguan refugees in Costa Rica and for his persistent calls for the Costa Rican government to address the infiltration of Nicaraguan intelligence operations within its borders.
