Aly Abid

Aly Abid is a pioneering Tunisian caricaturist known for his incisive and often humorous commentary on both national and international issues through his art. Since the 1970s, he has gained significant recognition for his ability to blend realism with exaggeration in his drawings, which resonate with the public and political figures alike. An autodidact, Abid's passion for drawing was inspired by his father, and he transitioned from a variety of jobs, including a newspaper courier and presidential bodyguard, into a full-time caricature artist. Recently, he was in the news for preparing an exhibition that showcases over 30 years of Tunisian history through his unique artistic lens.
