Amala Roka
Amala Roka is a prominent figure linked to a major gold smuggling case in Nepal. Recently, she was released on bail after being arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) for her involvement in a scheme that smuggled approximately 61 kg of gold into the country. Roka, who has previously served as the vice president of the Rolpa-Kathmandu contact forum for the Maoist party, was initially on the run after the investigation began. She reportedly sought refuge at the home of a former vice president before being apprehended again. Roka is married to Dawa Chiring, a Chinese national implicated in the same smuggling ring.
