Amanda Coughlan

Amanda Coughlan is a co-lead of the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Paediatric Advocacy Group (SBHPAG) and a mother of a son who has spina bifida and scoliosis. She has shared her family's experience of lengthy waiting periods for spinal surgery, drawing attention to the systemic failures within Children’s Health Ireland (CHI). Coughlan advocates for necessary reforms and has called for a comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances that have compromised the care of vulnerable children.
