Amin Ansari

Amin Ansari is a prominent advocate for child safety in Pakistan, driven by the tragic loss of his seven-year-old daughter, Zainab, who was kidnapped, raped, and murdered in 2018. Following this personal tragedy, he became a vocal supporter of justice for victims of sexual violence and spearheaded a campaign that led to the enactment of the Zainab Alert, Response and Recovery law, aimed at improving police responses to child abductions and establishing a database for missing children. Despite his efforts, the ongoing epidemic of sexual violence poses significant challenges, as highlighted in recent reports and incidents that continue to affect children in his community of Kasur and across the country.
