Amin Hamza al-Bettar is a 90-year-old Damask rose harvester from the village of Qaldoun Al Marah in Syria, known for his family's long-standing rose business which has suffered immensely due to climate change and prolonged droughts. This year, al-Bettar's harvest dropped dramatically from 4,000kg to just 300kg, highlighting the dire impact of environmental changes on traditional farming practices.
