Amir Osman Darwish

Amir Osman Darwish, commonly known as Amiru, was a prominent Egyptian footballer born on December 28, 1936, in Ismailia. He rose to fame as a key player for Ismaily SC during the late 1950s through the 1970s. Renowned for his skills as a winger, Amiru contributed significantly to the team's successes, including winning the Egyptian Premier League in the 1966-67 season and the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1970. After retiring from professional play, he transitioned into coaching, mentoring youth teams and taking on managerial roles in various clubs in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Libya. Amiru's legacy remains integral to Ismaily SC’s history, as he was instrumental in shaping the club's identity and success.
