Amir Pirich

Amir Pirich is the head of the UNESCO regional office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He plays a significant role in promoting and preserving cultural heritage within the region. Recently, he was in the news for presenting a certificate to Erlan Karin, the state advisor of Kazakhstan, recognizing the inclusion of the Kazakh wedding ritual 'Betashar' in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
