Amparo Ibor, known as 'La Barrina,' was an 84-year-old woman who gained attention during the tragic flooding in Valencia, Spain, which resulted in the deaths of 229 people. Despite suffering from advanced Alzheimer's and limited mobility, she survived the disaster by clinging to a floating mattress until she was rescued by neighbors. Unfortunately, after being hospitalized, she passed away on November 8, 2023, highlighting the tragic aftermath of the flooding.
