Ana Paula Spencer

Ana Paula Spencer is the President of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Quality Management and Intellectual Property (IGQPI) in Cape Verde. Recently, she highlighted the low awareness and utilization of intellectual property rights among local businesses, noting that only 17% of intellectual property registration requests come from national entrepreneurs. During a workshop in Praia, she launched the 'IP Lab for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups' program, aimed at educating and supporting these businesses in leveraging intellectual property as a strategic tool for success and market positioning.
