Analía Alvarez is a noted Argentine journalist and coffee expert who transitioned from journalism to the world of coffee after accompanying her husband on his reporting assignments in Latin America. She became the first Argentine to receive the Q Grader certification from the Coffee Quality Institute and founded Coffee Town, a flagship specialty coffee shop in Argentina. During the pandemic, she returned to her journalistic roots and authored 'Yo, cafeto' and its sequel 'Yo, cafeína', exploring the cultural and historical significance of caffeine. Alvarez is also working on establishing the Argentine branch of the International Women in Coffee Alliance to empower women in the coffee industry.
